It’s that Kleypas magic and I wish her newer books still retained that level of magic. Those love letters were so beautifully written and I had no problem being convinced that Christopher and Bea truly fell in love through them. I was DYING for Christopher to find out that Bea is the author of the letters. The level of anticipation was so damn high. I enjoyed it even more the second time around. I can’t remember why I gave Love in the Afternoon only 4 stars when I first read it years ago, but this time around, I’m definitely giving it 5 stars. I can’t believe this is only my second time reading this book! I’ve been listening to the audiobooks of this series and Rosalyn Landor brings the Hathaway family to life so beautifully. I received an ALC from Harper Audio and Libro FM in exchange for an honest review.
